Collection: Lean With It

As an artist, I have always been drawn to the beauty of nature and its unique forms. One day, while on a trip in Big Sur, I stumbled upon a leaning tree and decided to take a playful photo of myself leaning against it. Little did I know, this would spark a new personal project for me. I couldn't stop noticing leaning trees wherever I went and decided to make it my mission to find and photograph as many as I could.

One of my favorite leaning trees was located on the shores of Lake Michigan in Chicago. I first spotted it during the winter and returned to photograph it during the summer (summer print available), but unfortunately, by the fall the tree had met its demise due to the Emerald Ash Borer.

This print, "Lean With It," is my love letter to this giving tree. It gave me a creative project for almost a year and I will always be grateful for the inspiration it provided. Through this series, I hope to bring attention to the unique beauty of these leaning trees and the importance of preserving them.
